Our promise
Plant Adoption & Shipping Promise
Sending a living plant through the post sounds risky — but adeniums and succulents are natural travellers. They store water in their trunks and leaves, so they ship happily bare-root (without soil or pot), which keeps them light, healthy and rot-free on the journey.
How your plant travels
- Bare-root & bone dry: we remove the plant from its pot, clean the roots and let it dry for 2–3 days before packing. Dry plants don't rot in transit.
- Wrapped with care: the caudex and leaves are cushioned in soft paper, the roots wrapped to hold a hint of moisture, and everything secured in a sturdy box so nothing moves.
- Transit time: 3–7 working days across India depending on your PIN code. We dispatch early in the week so your plant never sits in a warehouse over the weekend.
- Live tracking: we share the tracking link on WhatsApp as soon as your plant is on its way.
Weather & season care
- Monsoon: we add extra waterproof lining and may hold dispatch for a day or two during heavy rain warnings — a short wait beats a soaked box.
- Winter (North India): adeniums dislike cold. In peak winter we pack with extra insulation and may pause shipping to very cold regions until nights warm up.
- Summer: plants are packed extra dry, which is exactly how they like it in the heat.
- If a plant ever arrives damaged, send us a photo within 24 hours on WhatsApp — we'll replace it or refund you. That's the promise.
When your plant arrives: the first week
1. Unpack gently, the same day
Open the box as soon as it arrives. Your plant has been in the dark for a few days and is eager for light. Remove all wrapping slowly — adenium caudexes and succulent leaves can be tender after travel.
2. Let it rest in bright shade
Place the bare-root plant in a bright, shaded, airy spot for 24–48 hours. Do not pot or water it yet. This lets any tiny root nicks dry and heal, which prevents rot.
3. Pot in dry, gritty soil
Use a well-draining mix — roughly 50% garden soil or cocopeat and 50% sand, perlite or pumice. Terracotta pots are ideal. Plant it, press the soil gently, and still do not water.
4. First watering after 5–7 days
Wait 5–7 days before the first watering so the roots settle and callus. Then water deeply once, and only again when the soil is fully dry. Move it into its permanent sunny spot gradually over a week.
